2009 Football Season is in motion!

The 2009 season is here and not a moment to soon!

Lets start right in!

My name is Mike for those who dont know and with last year pics I did pretty good around 80% with wins in Fantasy Football and one suicide pool.

I love all sports but football is the best!! My favorite Teams are Colts!! Notre Dame!! and I'm a Jersey Homer so go Rutgers!!

This Blog is for all sports loving people I want your insights your opinions this is our forum where we can be heard and someone will answer and listen not like some big sites where the don't look at or answer a quarter of statements made by fans. I will pick 10 college games and 10 pro give you my suicide picks and my starting line-up in fantasy and try and help and answer any questions you have. Will only do major colleges if you have questions about other games then ones I list just ask!

I also do not bash coaches ,players, or any blogger its a sport there are going to be loses you have to roll with them!!

Okay now that's out of the way lets go!!!!

I did not give picks for last nights due to being tied up going to very good friends dads funeral in North Jersey( Rest In Peace Mr P.)
But went pretty much as expected although South Carolina offense better get going quick (7)points wont cut it in upcoming games!

And Boise St is strong even more on the smurf turf. Oregon's got problems new coach, new key players, tough schedule and fiasco at end did not help! May be a long season for Duck Lovers!

Okay lets go with my college picks for this week,there are a couple games with no line this week and that's fine there should be no line for a Florida vs Charleston Southern.

My Picks in Bold- Top 25 Rankings are listed.-Favorites listed First.

1)(#24)Nebraska vs Florida Atlantic 22.5 points -Go with Corn huskers they are trying to prove they belong back with big boys Oklahoma,Texas and will punish the teams they can.

2)(#6)Ohio State vs Navy 21.5 points- I'm Going with Navy a very tough team to prepare for and to get ready for that on week 1 may give Buckeyes headaches Ive the Victory to Buckeyes but I feel Midshipmen keep it within the spread.

3)(#9)Penn State vs Akron 27 points- My Pick is Nittany Lions the are a very strong team this year and should roll over Zips.

4)(#23) Notre Dame vs Nevada 14.5 points- This my team so have to pick them but Fighting Irish need to win and win big to get team rolling for tough schedule and need to start week 1 !!

5)(#5) Alabama vs (#7) Virginia Tech 6.5 points- This is listed as game of the week but I don't feel it, Tide is loaded and SEC is strong I feel this will show how far apart SEC and ACC are Hokies are a good team but feel Tide is a lot stronger. Spread went down this week I fell it should have went up.

6) (#12) California vs Maryland 21 points- Cal is a good team I have to wait and see if they warrant that #12 ranking and Maryland is tough and played very well against the spread last year. Give Cal the win but Terps will keep it within 21.

7)(#11) LSU vs Washington 17.5 points- Tigers are in same boat as Nebraska they want to prove they are still up there with Bama and Florida and if UW plays like last year it will be a long season. I think Tigers roll big!

8)(#8) Mississippi vs Memphis 17 points- Watch Miss this year they are strong and may have a few big surprises for some high ranked teams later this year. Tigers wont be able to keep up.

9) Minnesota vs Syracuse 6.5 points- Golden Gophers need these early wins before meet of their conference schedule kicks in and Orangemen rebuilding with basketball player turned quarterback? Who knows might work but for week 1 Gophers will get needed early win.

10) Connecticut vs Ohio 3.5 points- UConn may not be as strong as they were but tying to show they are still in Big East elite, new starters have to step up. Ohio is a tough game for first week draw but Huskies should pull it out.

Bonus Pick(Monday Night): Rutgers vs Cincinnati 5 points- Big game for both teams a week 1 conference meeting. Lots of questions on both sides but Ill go with Scarlet Knights who have a lot to prove are good with the spread and can make a Big East statement early on.
